To the Scalera Family, I first meet Vinnie when he worked at Mack and he delivered our first Mack pumper. He was always there when ever we had a problem with it. He even gave me his home phone number for emergencies at night. Our friendship continued when he moved to Fire and Safety. He was always there to help. You will be greatly missed by many. May he Rest in Peace now. The Koerner Family

What started as a work relationship soon became a friendship with many common interests. Good times, frustrations, and a few "close tolerances", will all be remembered with his smile and wit. It's been a pleasure, rest in peace. Finally, If the good Lord can provide us one wish, how about a cure for cancer, let's pray for that in Vinnie's honor !

My family and I offer our deepest sympathies to the Scalera family. Vinnie was one of the nicest guys I have had the honor of knowing and one of the best bosses I've ever worked for. One of the things I enjoyed most about our interactions was the love for quoting movie lines. It always lightened the mood on a stressful day and made us chuckle. Rest in peace my friend, you will be greatly missed...

I first met Vinnie back in his days at Mack. We were business associates, that over time dare I say became more like friends. Always happy to discuss the more personal side of life's endeavors, we both shared an interest in Racing, but discussed many other things. My hope that his family and closest friends will rise past their sorrows to truly Celebrate the Amazing life he was always happy to talk about.

To the Scalera family, I am so sorry for your loss. Vinnie was more than a boss to me, he was friend, a mentor and a big brother. He always had a way to bring a smile even on a bad situation. He was very understanding and was easy to talk to. I really enjoyed working with him and I must say it was extremely hard to leave the company when I relocated to another state. Vinnie, you touched so many people and definitely will not be forgotten. You are in my prayers. Love you my brother.

I've pondered the loss of Vinnie for a couple of days. I've come to the realization that the world has lost a true gentleman. In the years I've known him I can not recall having heard him raise his voice in anger. He did however, assist me in in honing my sarcasm. This is quite a loss for a lot of folks. I hope that these messages will bring some amount of solace to the Scalera family.

My Deepest Condolences to the Scalera Family. Vince was true gentleman, mentor, friend, coworker & felt like family, I loved him like a brother. The 1st day I met Vince for my interview, I was in complete awe of him with his history of Mack & liking Antique trucks as I do myself. I couldn't wait to work with him & learn all I could from him with his vast knowledge of things. He has taught me so much already but I still had so many more questions to ask & I wanted to learn so much more from this larger than life gentleman. I'm truly honored to have worked & gotten to know Vince & call him my friend. You will be missed greatly but never forgotten. Rest In Peace Brother we will take it from here. I Love You !!!!!
