South Plainfield - Lawrence B. Zampella, 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, January 22, 2016.
Larry was born and raised in Plainfield and settled to South Plainfield in 1971.
For 28 years Larry faithfully served the City of Plainfield as a Fireman, retiring in the early 1990's.
Predeceased by his parents and twin brother, Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife Olga of 56 years; beloved son Larry; daughter, Heidi and his only grandson, David Jr whom he adored. Also surviving is his devoted brother Ronnie and his wife Donna of Piscataway, sister in-law Ida Zampella of North Plainfield as well as numerous extended loving relatives and friends.
Larry will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Cremation services were held privately under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
