Obituary of Loretta E. Cassidy

Hampton - Loretta E. Cassidy, 95, died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Rolling Hills Care Center in Lebanon. Born in Bridgeport, CT Loretta resided in Jersey City before settling to South Plainfield where she raised her family. Recently, she relocated to Hampton, NJ prior to living in Holiday, FL for the last 35 years. A former communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church, Loretta enjoyed reading, yardwork and gardening. Loretta also enjoyed knitting Christmas stockings for her grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, James F. and sister, Eileen McKeon, surviving are her four children, Sharon Branca and husband John of North Plainfield, James Jr. and wife Wendy of South Plainfield, Catherine Risch and husband John of Solbury, PA and Thomas of Hampton. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Herat RC Church, South Plainfield at 10AM. Family and friends may attend visitation on Monday from 6-9PM in the funeral home.
