South Plainfield - Raymond E. Wachauf, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Raymond settled to South Plainfield in 1960.
An insulator for forty years, Raymond retired from the Local 32 Heat & Frost Insulators and Allied Workers of Newark.
Raymond was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed boating, fishing and cars.
Predeceased by his wife, Dolores who died in 2010, his son Raymond who died in 2014 and his sister, Prudence Angebrandt, surviving is his daughter, Cathy Ann Wachauf of East Brunswick, daughter in law, Laura Wachauf of South Plainfield and two granddaughters; Christina Marie Slatky and Caitlin Wachauf.
Family and Friends are invited to join together for visitation on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 3-7 PM.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin- Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
