Obituary of John J. Stark

Edison - John J. Stark, 63, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Orange, John was raised in South Plainfield and settled to Edison in 1982. John was employed as a master mold maker for the Life Of The Party in North Brunswick until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed working with his hands whether it was making molds for candies and soaps at work or woodworking at home. He was a model train enthusiast, but his passion was for boats and ships. John enjoyed reading about ships as well as drawing them with great detail. He is predeceased by his father; Jacque, brother; Robert and nephew; Danny Innes. Surviving are his loving wife of 30 years; Kathleen, his mother; Grace Stark, sister; Linda Innes and her husband Russell, two brothers; Glen and Gary Stark, sister in law; June Calavetta and her husband Phil, two brothers in law; William Kover and his wife Eleanor and Robert Kover and his wife Marlene, five nieces and seven nephews. He will also be missed by his beloved dog; Nikki and cat; Sammy. Family and friends may attend visitation on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 4-7PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080. Visitation will include a funeral service beginning at 6PM. Cremation will follow privately.
