Obituary of Elena T Tamilio

South Plainfield - Elena (GianAndrea) Tamilio, 90, died on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Arista Care at Cedar Oaks Care Center in South Plainfield. Born in New York City, Elena has resided in South Plainfield since 1954. Elena was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield and devoted her time as a homemaker caring for her family. She enjoyed baking, loved her garden and was an avid NY Yankees fan. She is predeceased by her husband Fernando and by her three sisters. Elena is survived by her children; Anita Tartaglia and her husband Peter of Hillside, Rhonda Tamilio of South Plainfield, Fernando Tamilio and his wife Maryann of Wildwood, Warren Tamilio and his wife June of Piscataway and Alfred Tamilio and his wife Alicia of Pittstown. Also surviving are six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 beginning 10:45am in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 (www.mccriskinfuneralhome.com) followed by an 11:30am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 7-9pm and on Tuesday from 10:30am until the service time.
