Obituary of Edward Kiernan Hogan

Edward K. Hogan South Plainfield - Edward Kiernan Hogan, 87, died on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born and raised in Plainfield, Mr. Hogan has resided in South Plainfield since 1953. A Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Hogan was a pilot during WWII and for 21 years he worked for Rutgers University in New Brunswick in the campus security division prior to his retirement. He is survived by his daughter Mary McAbee and her husband William of San Mateo, CA., his five sons; Dodd Hogan and his wife Julie of South Plainfield, Timothy Hogan and his wife Anita also of South Plainfield, Peter Hogan and Sean Hogan both of Middlesex and Christopher Hogan of Plainfield, his sister Patricia Pelizzoni of Allentown, PA. and by his six grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 4-8 PM in the funeral home.
