Obituary of Eleanor Sieke

Piscataway - Eleanor (Ditzel) Sieke, 83, died Wednesday February 4, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Plainfield, Eleanor grew up on the Ditzel Farm in Scotch Plains before settling to Toms River.
Prior to retirement, Eleanor worked in the electronic assembly line for Dranetz Engineering.
A life member of Deborah Heart and Lung Center, she was also an avid NY Yankees fan.
Predeceased by four siblings, Joan Cantamessa, Doris Tripet, Robert and Richard Ditzel, surviving are two children, Elaine Hess and boyfriend, Ronald Stump of Piscataway and Michael Hess and wife Linda of Maine; husband, William Sieke and a host of extended family.
She will also be missed by her three grandchildren, Jennifer, Dianna and Corrine and five great grandchildren, Ricky, Hailey, Joshua, Noah and Katelyn.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:30AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM in the funeral home.
