Obituary of Rose M. Crescenzi

Rose Crescenzi of Brick formerly of South Plainfield passed away peacefully on Monday evening, June 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Raritan, Rose was raised and had resided in Plainfield before moving to Florida. She resided there for a short time and settled to South Plainfield in 1951 where she settled and raised her family. In 1989, she moved to Forked River before finally settling with her daughter, Debbie in Brick. Rose had worked as a seamstress for several local shops before retiring in 1987. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local #150 of NYC, a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and doing ceramics. Most importantly, Rose will be remembered as a loving wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother who's legacy will live on in her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Vincent, son Joseph and sisters; Eleanor Rosenberg and Lena Yorlano, Rose is survived by three children; daughters, Debbie Mahoney and her husband, Brian, Rita Crescenzi and her companion, Bobby, and son, Jim and his wife, Tracey, seven; grandchildren; Ben Kane, Jennifer Ocana, Nicole Campanelli, Gina Campanelli, Michelle Campanelli, James Crescenzi and Lisa Crescenzi and six great grandchildren with a seventh on the way. Funeral services will begin on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield., NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass at 10 AM in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, South Plainfield. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory maybe made to the Hospice of NJ, 226 Haddonfield Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
