Marie E. Ranno
Green Brook, NJ - Marie E. (Sansone) Ranno, 81, died on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her daughter's residence surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born in Montclair, NJ and grew up in the Oranges. She was a resident of South Plainfield since 1955 and most recently, she moved to Green Brook in 2005 to be with her daughter.
Marie spent her time as a homemaker where she enjoyed family and friends. Later, she worked part-time for the South Plainfield School District as a cafeteria worker in Riley School. She was a devout Catholic and belonged to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in South Plainfield.
She is predeceased by her husband Victor who passed away July 22, 1997.
Marie leaves behind her children; Carol Beers and her husband Wes of Green Brook, Peter Ranno and his wife Judith of Brick and Joseph Ranno and his wife Isabel of Southampton. She will be missed by her four grandchildren; Peter and Michael Ranno, Nicolette and Angelo Mejia-
Ranno and by her brother Eugene Sansone of Belle Mead.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 10:45 AM at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by an 11:30 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield.
Burial will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 5-9 PM and on Wednesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
