LUDOVICO ALCANTARA, 90
Ludovico (Lolo) Alcantara, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, died peacefully at his home in South Plainfield on October 30. Born on October 22, 1924 in Pangasinan, Philippines, he lived in NJ since 1986.
He is remembered as the patriarch of a large extended family across the US and in his native Philippines. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Marciana and their 10 children: son Romeo and wife Liwayway; son Ben and wife Femia; daughter Cres and husband Maning; daughter Cora and husband Arthur; daughter Gloria and husband Bob; daughter Lilia and husband Tito; daughter Barbara; daughter Myrna and husband Ronel; daughter Marilyn and husband Herbert; and son Wilfredo.
He will also be greatly missed by 15 grandchildren: Glen, Joyce and husband Mark, Genevieve, Chuck, Jennifer, Grachelle, Melissa, Bem, Michelle, Andrea, Angela, Gea, Kim, Kiko, Gaby and 3 great grandchildren: Remi, Milo and Erlo.
Funeral services are Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa, South Plainfield.
Cremation will follow in Rosehill Crematory, Linden NJ.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5-9PM in the funeral home.
