Gordon Holz
Henryville, PA - Gordon Holz, 66, passed away suddenly on Friday April 1, 2011 at his home in the Poconos.
Born and raised in Plainfield, Gordon had resided in South Plainfield for a number of years before settling to Henryville in 1992.
He was a well known individual in the boro of South Plainfield due to his long time involvement with the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield where he has been serving as the chairperson of the Board of Trustees and was the Superintendent of the church cemetery, Hillside Cemetery of Samptown in South Plainfield.
Gordon was a true outdoors man who was the former treasurer and is a current member of the Pocono Slatebelt Shooting Club, has been the treasurer of the Alpine Lake Association, and served on the Planning Commission for Pocono Township.
His beloved wife, Judy ( Munro ) died in May of 2001. He is also predeceased by his parents, Edward and Melvina and his brother, Gregory.
Surviving are his sister and brother in law, Carol and Ed Moraller, his two nephews and his great niece.
Funeral and interment services were held privately under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield.
