Obituary of Arthur F DelleDonne

North Plainfield - Arthur F. DelleDonne, 88, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in the AristaCare at Norwood Terrace in Plainfield. Mr. DelleDonne was born in Hoboken and resided in Union City, North Bergen and Plainfield prior to settling to North Plainfield 36 years ago. A former councilman for the City of Plainfield, Mr. DelleDonne was the owner and operator of the former Arty's Disposal and served as Past President of the former Cartmen's Assoc. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, Arty served during WWII as a Signalman Third Class. In addition, he was a member of the VFW Storr Richie Post # 506 in North Plainfield, serving as Past Post Commander. He is predeceased by sisters; Marie Mauriello, Jean Graziano, Rita Ferrante and Cecelia Belmonte and his brother Charles DelleDonne. Surviving are his wife Eugenie (Naters) of North Plainfield, seven daughters and their spouses; Cecelia DelliPoali (Michael) also of North Plainfield, Susan Maiorana (Thomas) of Montague, Denise Armbruster (Gerhard) of North Plainfield, Jean Carnevale (Nicholas) of Wilmington, NC, Barbara Jones (Daniel) of North Plainfield, Nancy Troxler (Mark) of Salisbury, NH and Carol Wallauer, (Ray) of Conway, SC, a sister Eleanor Schroeder of Brick, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 9:30amAM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave . South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Entombment will follow at Lake Nelson Memorial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 4-8pm in the funeral home.
