Obituary of Robert J Moss

South Plainfield - Robert "Bob" J. Moss, 67, died Wednesday December 25, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Bob was born and raised in Newark and resided in the East Orange and Iselin area before settling to South Plainfield. He worked for Volunteers of America in Rahway as the Assistant Director of Facilities, he retired in May 2013. Prior, Bob worked for the former BOC Gases in Murray Hill from 1971 to 2004. Bob is predeceased by his parents; Urban and Josephine (Koerner) and two brothers; Joseph and William Moss. Surviving is his loving wife Dawn (Peterson), daughter, Lauren Moss of South Plainfield, son; Richard Moss and his wife Amber of North Tonawanda, NY, sister, Linda Duquette and husband Donald of South Plainfield, and three sisters-in-law; Joan Moss of Orlando, FL, Lucille Moss of Monmouth Junction and Susan Pepe and husband Eric of Flemington. He will also be missed by two grandchildren; Rachel and Isabella Heinze, several nieces and nephews and his granddog, Lexi. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 9:15AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield at 10AM. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Family and friends may attend visitation on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9PM in the funeral home.
