Obituary of William D. Hogan

South Plainfield - William D. Hogan, 75 passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Bill was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield and he was the owner and operator of W.D. Hogan Plumbing and Heating in South Plainfield. He was a fixture in the community who could often be easily found in the local diner. Bill loved the borough of South Plainfield, had vast knowledge of the town's history and was willing to better the lives of the borough by running for town council. He is predeceased by a sister, Margaret Hogan and a brother; John. Bill is survived by a sister; Maryellan Combs and five nieces and nephews; Maryellen Combs, John Hogan, Daniel Hogan, John Combs and Patricia Dobossy. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 www.mccriskinfuneralhome.com Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Family and friends may attend the visitation which will begin at 10:30AM until the time of the service.
