My son Darren had Mrs Kardos as a teacher in his formative years. While other students commented she was strict and gave difficult home work. Darren always said "she is the best teacher I had" He actually said he loved her as a teacher and a caring individual. She teased him when she saw him at church. I could tell the feelings were mutual, they had a genuine caring for each other.
We've missed seeing mrs. Kardos in church for the past few years. Tom, God bless you for taking care of our friend and sister in Christ. We had already been missing her. I do hope she is at peace and that you will find comfort in your family and friends. She was Some Lady and a real pressence in the lives of a lot of school children.
I am sorry for your loss, we will never forget her smile!
