Obituary of Veronica J. Noonan

South Plainfield - Veronica Joan (nee Barbagallo) Noonan, 84, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in the Astoria Section of Queens, NY, Mrs. Noonan grew up in North Bergen. In 1970 she settled to South Plainfield. Shortly after coming to South Plainfield, Veronica was employed for many years as an executive secretary with the former Lockheed Electronics Corporation in Watchung. Veronica was a member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens and participated in many of the group activities including bingo and taking day trips. Mrs. Noonan was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in South Plainfield, enjoyed the Jersey shore and loved traveling abroad with her husband. Veronica will be remembered fondly for her love of family gatherings. She is predeceased by a brother; Anthony Barbagallo. Surviving is her beloved husband of 55 years Raymond, two daughters; Diane Romanick and her husband Theodore of Whitehouse Station, and Kathleen Bryson and her husband Neil of Millington, her son Michael and his wife Robin of Hazlet and nine grandchildren; Melissa Bryson, Samantha Sutor, Lindsey Ziegler, Jaclyn and Katheryn Noonan, Chad and Chelsea Romanick and Alyson and Patrick Schenk. Also surviving are four great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 9:15am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ followed by a 10am funeral mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Monday April 15, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the funeral home
