James "Buddy" Mosier
South Plainfield - James R. Mosier, "Buddy", was born in Taylor, Pennsylvania on December 25, 1937 and resided most recently in South Plainfield. Formerly of Irvington, NJ and Scranton, Pennsylvania, Buddy was a long time member of Local 472. He was Tip-Top Bread Salesman, was the former owner of the Wainwright Bar in Newark, Ciminis Restaurant and Bar in Scranton, Pennsylvania and was also an independent truck driver.
James succumbed to cancer after a long and courageous battle on Thursday June 21, 2012 at home surrounded by his family.
Buddy enjoyed his family, pets, gardening, sports, woodworking and vacationing especially in Daytona Beach, Florida. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his brothers William and Ronald and a sister Jane;
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Maureen (nee Tighe), five children; James, Debra Wojcik and her husband Charles, Christopher, Maureen Lavender and her husband Stuart and Denise Hoppe her husband Charles, 11 grandchildren, Charles & Lisa Wojcik, Luke and Jennifer Tigue, Bobbie Jo Raposo, James & Laura Mosier, Christian, Jamie and Bryan Mosier and Jonathan Lavender, Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Charles Wojcik and Kyleigh Tigue and his brothers, Richard and Charles, sister-in-laws Claire Mosier, Mary & Dorothy, Aunt Judy Edsell White, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating his life on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 1pm at his family's residence
Arrangements are private under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
