Obituary of Lillian Johansen

Lillian Johansen South Plainfield - Lillian (Sears) Johansen died Monday, January 21, 2013 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Born in Brooklyn, Lillian was raised in Union City before settling to South Plainfield 60 years ago. She belonged to the Tri County Seniors and a knitting club in her younger years. She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, who died in May of 1999; Erling and her parents; Matt and Ann (Curcio) Morabito. Surviving are two daughters; Muriel Coletta and her husband John of Green Brook and June Iverson and her husband Mark of Washington and a brother; Matthew Morabito and his wife, Marlene. She will also be missed by three grandchildren; Kristen Coletta and Lauren and Hunter Iverson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080. Cremation will follow privately. Family and friends may attend visitation on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Friday starting at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillian's memory to the South Plainfield Rescue Squad, 2506 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080.
