Ann D. Campanelli
South Plainfield, NJ - Ann D. Campanelli, 82, died at her daughter Patricia's residence on Thursday, June 30, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hoboken, she was raised in Whitehouse and had been a resident of South Plainfield for most of her life.
She worked for over forty years as a waitress for the Deli King located in Highland Park. A devout catholic, Ann was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield. She could always be found cooking at church functions, especially the Feast of St. Anthony. Ann was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, she loved making crafts and enjoyed her word search books.
She is predeceased by her husband John A. Campanelli who died January 2, 2000, her son-in-law Archie "Sandy" Dean and by her siblings; Lawrence, George, Elizabeth, Mary and Katie.
Ann is survived by her three daughters and son-in-law; Patricia Waters and Scott of South Plainfield, Linda Dean of Monroe and Janie King of Flemington. She also leaves behind her eight grandchildren; Kelly, Leigh, Robyn, Jon, Jessica, Ashlee, Matthew and Stephanie, four great-grandchildren and by her sister Veronica Simmons of South Plainfield.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 beginning 9:15AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield. Mausoleum Entombment will be in Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in the funeral home from 5-8 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent to the Alzheimer's Association, Northern New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 or to Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, 120 Kosciusko Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 would be appreciated.
