I want you to know that I love you, Dustin. Even though we came from different families, you will always be considered my brother too. I thank God and your parents for giving you life, because it add to my life too. The times we spent will be etched in my memory and heart forever. I could be greedy and wish that I had more time with you but I'm grateful for the time that I got to share with you. I'll miss that mischievous smile, your laughter, teasing me about my sister's tattoo and trading stories about our time together at FDU. Every memory I have of us brings a smile with it. I miss you already so much! You were my buddy! Thank you so much for being my friend, I am eternally blessed for that!

We only knew you for a short time, but we immediately knew that your were a kind, gentle, and warm father to your children and a loving husband to your wife. Our children spent many days together whether at your place or ours and your kindness will never be forgotten. Cassie, I am praying that you and your family be blessed with Gods grace, and strength in this time of great sorrow. Please reach out to me if there is anything I can do for you or the kids.
God Bless,
Ivette, Scott, Natalie, Lucas, Jake, and Katie Stahl

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy. Dustin was a good Soldier, friend, and close enough that I would name him as a brother. I spent two deployments with him. I found him to be a constant boost to my moral and those around him. Even though I had the pleasure of leading Dustin in Afghanistan; I looked upon him and drew inspiration. I personally nicknamed him "The Das Boot of Whazzi Qwah." Of course that was after the spur ride and getting to our base in Afghanistan. I remeber that we were going to leave him at Bagram to get his leg looked at. The Command Sergeant Major of the Squadron tried to snatch him to work for him at his base. Dustin caught wind sucked up the pain grabbed his gear and boot scooted straight to our base. I found that to be a defingin moment for him. I know that he loved his Troop, loved his brother in arms, but most of all his family and his home. the smile on his face when he mentioned what he would do when got out and into PA was always from ear to ear. My heart truly aches at news of his loss and in my own way I hope to share a my sentiment knowing that he was truly loved by all that he served with. Please feel free to contact me for any support I can give. Trent Choron Former Bravo Troop 1-61 CAV Commander.

I'm very saddened by this news. During a deployment you never stopped smiling, telling jokes, or pulling a prank. You'll never be forgottened and will truly be missed. I just wish I could hear that goofy laugh one more time. Until we meet again at Fiddlers Green. Das Boot, Slowvan, Dustin.... I miss you brother.

We are so deeply saddened by Dustin's passing. Have known Dustin since early grade school and what a fine man he was. I am so happy that just 3 weeks ago he stopped by to say hi to us. Our prayers to give Cassie strength and to their 3 beautiful children, to Bill, Peggy, Sean and the rest of family to know that so many people have them in their thoughts and prayers.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dustin’s passing. I had the honor and pleasure of being his First Sergeant in Afghanistan. He was one heck of a FOB Mayor and always kept me smiling. RIP brother. You are missed and will never be forgotten.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dustin on many changes in his short life. I remember when he started and he was our Academy Class of one. Dustin was a sincere and caring individual who will be truly missed by me especially and my co-worker Dawn and the many officers he worked with at the Jail. God Bless you, Dustin. My Sympathy to Cassie and your children. Cassie, if you need anything, please call me at the Jail. My extension is 4014. I am so very sorry for your loss and it is our loss too that we share. May God be with you and your family in this horrific time of sorrow.

I was so sad to hear about the passing of Dustin. My heart goes out to his family and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I met Dustin in college and right away thought of him as a friend. Being in the same fraternity I saw him on a daily basis. He had a way of making you laugh no matter what kind of mood you were in. He was loyal, honest, and a great man. I was so proud to learn that he served his country. For that and so many other reasons he will never be forgotten.
