South Plainfield - Theresa J. (nee Sansone) Vasquez, 81, died suddenly Friday, September 19, 2014 at home.
Born to the late Vincent and Mary (Corso) in Indianapolis, IN, Theresa resided in the city prior to settling to South Plainfield in 1973.
A true homemaker at heart, Theresa took pride in raising her family. She was an avid cook who loved to cook everyone's favorite dish and enjoyed square dancing, playing the accordion and gardening.
Notorious for her love of Dove Dark Chocolates, Mrs. Vasquez also enjoyed strolling through any dollar store she came across and couldn't resist a good Chinese Buffet.
Surviving are her husband, Martin; two daughters, Gina Collins of Murrells Inlet, S.C. and Becki Jordan of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sons, Martin Vasquez of South Plainfield and Mark Collins of Camby, IN. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren, Angela Wolfe, William Flinn, Luke and Taylor Collins and Ashley Wolfe.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 5-8pm in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 with a reflection service beginning at 8pm
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday September, 25, 2014 beginning at 12:15pm in the funeral home.
