Obituary of Marie A Santoro

Marie A. Santoro, 93, of Waretown, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Barnegat Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Marie was born in Plainfield, NJ to the late Vincent and Philomena (Pomponio) Santoro. She lived in South Plainfield for 84 years before moving to Waretown with her niece and nephew; Elaine and Anthony Graziano. Marie was a legal secretary for her brother, the late Edward J. Santoro, Sr. and later for her nephew Edward Jr. until her retirement at age 71. She is a former communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church and was a member of their Altar Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her sister, Angelina Battista and three brothers; Frank, Edward Sr. and Louis Santoro. Fondly known as Aunt Marie or ReeRee she is survived by nephews, nieces and their spouses; the late Frank A. Santoro and his surviving wife Patricia, Louis R. Santoro, Jr. and his wife Diane, Ann Marie Inzano and her husband Albert, Joseph Santoro and his wife Kathryn, Edward J. Santoro, Jr. and his wife Jayne, Elaine Graziano and her husband Anthony, Vincent Santoro and his wife Judy and Virginia Santoro. She is also survived by 16 great nieces and nephews and 14 great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 23, 2014 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ., 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield at 10 AM. Interment in the family plot will take place following mass in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 3-7 PM in the funeral home.
