Ann Diana
South Plainfield - Ann (Gagliardi ) Diana, 86, passed away early Saturday morning April 14, 2012 at JFK Medical Center in Edison with her family at her side.
Born and raised in Brooklyn New York, Ann married in the late 1940's, moved to Plainfield for a short time before settling to South Plainfield over 50 years ago.
She had been employed for a number of years as a sales women for the former Stands Department Store in Plainfield before her retirement at age 62. Although she had a career for a number of years, Ann was a devoted homemaker for most of her life. She was a dear and loving grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family and taking family trips to Atlantic City.
Predeceased by her husband; Anthony "Tony" Diana Sr., a daughter; Connie Diana and her son in law; Robert Bukovec. She is survived by four daughter; Barbara Pender and her husband Scott, Rose Bukovec, Anna Diana, Donna Sable and her husband Ken and a son; Anthony "Tony" Diana Jr. and his wife Beth, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 4-8 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 9:15 AM in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ.
Interment will follow in the family plot in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Homeside Hospice / Butterfly Wishes, 67 Walnut Avenue, Clark, NJ 07066.
