Piscataway - Alexander Pornovets, Jr., 56, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital in Lyons, NJ.
Born in Plainfield, Alex resided in South Plainfield, graduating from South Plainfield High School in 1976, then settled to Piscataway.
After his honorable discharge from the United States Navy in 1980, Alex was employed at the Warner- Lorean Warehouse in Franklin Township and later with American Can of Piscataway.
Predeceased by his parents; Florence and Alexander and brother, Charles W., Alex is survived by his loving daughter, Kaitlyn of Manville, sister, Linda Jevic of Piscataway and brother, John C. Pornovets of South Plainfield. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 10AM-12PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080. A memorial service will begin at 12PM in the funeral home.
