South Plainfield - Kathleen ( Tamburri ) Hoffman, 59, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
Born in Plainfield, to the late Anthony and Elaine, Kathy has been a lifelong resident of the borough of South Plainfield. She is a graduate of the South Plainfield High School Class of 1972 and married her high school sweetheart, Michael. They spent 36 years together prior to his death.
Kathy was a proud grandmother, loving wife and dear mother who had worked as an Office Manager for MedeMerge in Greenbrook. She later assisted her husband, working alongside him in their business, Dean Equipment Furniture of East Hanover.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael, who passed away in 2010 at the young age of 55. She also lost her brother, Richard Tamburri in October of 2013.
Surviving are her three children; Michael, Robert and Jeanette Hoffman and two beloved grandchildren; Jackson and Camryn.
Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 5-7 PM and Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 12 noon until 2 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
A family service reflecting Kathy's life beginning at 2 PM in the funeral home with cremation to follow privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, Northwestern University - Office of Development, 750 North Lake Shore Drive, 9th Floor, Chicago, IL 60611-3078.
