Obituary of Anna R. Demico

South Plainfield, NJ - Anna R. (Butrico) Demico, 83, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born in Bronx, NY to her late parents William and Josephine Butrico, she came to South Plainfield at the age of seven and has been a lifelong resident of the borough. Anna was a devoted housewife who dedicated her time to her family. She was an avid baker and loved to bowl as a Rotarian bowler. She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church and belonged to their Altar Rosary Society and Columbiettes. Anna was active with Pop Warner and Unico, the Republican Organization as a committee woman, the Suburban Women's Club, senior citizens club and belonged to the Auxiliary of American Legion Post #243. She is predeceased by her parents and her brothers; Charles and Frank Butrico. Anna leaves behind her loving and devoted family; husband Dominic "Sonny" Demico of sixty years and their children; Dominic Demico, Jr. and his wife Moira "Terry" of South Plainfield and Rosanne Ilardo and her husband James of Palm Coast, FL. She will be missed deeply by her four adored grandchildren; Diane Romano, Camille Baker and her husband Jonathan, Dominic Demico, III and Joseph Demico and by her cherished siblings; Angelo and William Butrico and Grace Bertucci and Theresa Tolischus. Visitation will be held in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 8:45 am until 9:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 beginning 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in South Plainfield followed by burial at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
