Warren - Betty C. DeVizio, 82, died peacefully on Friday evening, March 29, 2013 at home.
Born in Pickens, S.C., Betty lived in Newark, moved to Watchung in 1964 and settled to Warren fifteen years ago.
Betty and her husband, James, initially owned and operated a deli in Newark and later owned and operated B & J's Liquor Store in Harrison prior to their retirement in 1981.
Surviving are her husband of over 60 years; James, a daughter; Sharon DeVizio of South Plainfield, a son; James DeVizio and his wife Kim of Warren, four siblings; Marty, Pat, Lenny and Butch, three grandchildren; Jerry and his wife Jill, Jason and Denielle Vitale and a great granddaughter; Isabella Vitale .
At Betty's request, funeral services will be held privately.
