Obituary of Raymond J. Dillon

Raymond J. Dillon, 59, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan, NY.
Born in Jersey City, Ray grew up and resided in Edison prior to settling to South Plainfield 29 years ago.
He was a graduate of Edison High School and prior to his illness, worked as a machine operator for Everlasting Valve in South Plainfield.
A devout Paul McCartney fan, Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. As a lover of the sun and beach, he especially enjoyed traveling with them to St. John USVI. Nature adventures with his daughter, Shannon, fishing with his best friend, Cliff and relaxing at home with his favorite cat, Boo-boo were pastimes he also enjoyed.
He is predeceased by his father Raymond F. and a sister Susan Dillon.
Surviving are his wife Kathleen (Padmore) and daughter Shannon Dillon both of South Plainfield, his mother Lorraine Dillon of Edison, two sisters; Patricia Henry (Daniel) of Fords and Deirdre Fine (Jesse) of East Brunswick, two brothers; Thomas (June Moss) of New York City and Matthew of Edison. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; Haley, Maggie, Danny, Michael and Katie.
Raymond's cremation services were held privately.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 4-7PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080
