Monroe - Lucy Criscuolo, 91, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Cranbury Center in Monroe Township.
Born and raised in Edgewater, NJ, Lucy resided in South Plainfield in 1945 with her late husband, Carmine. They raised their family in the Borough and in 1973 they relocated to Spring Hill Florida. Eventually, the pair made their way back to up North to Monroe Township.
Working odd jobs as a seamstress and sales woman, Lucy's life-long career was being a mother to her two daughters and a loving grandmother to her granddaughter, Stephanie.
Predeceased by her husband of 68 years who died in 2013, Carmine and daughter, Marie Dempsey, surviving are her daughter, Joan Banos and her husband, Robert VanDurmen of Monroe Township and granddaughter, Stephanie Dempsey of Freehold.
Funeral services will begin Monday, May 11, 2015 at 12:15PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ 07080
Family and friends may attend visitation on Monday beginning at 11AM.
