Obituary of Carmine H Criscuolo

Monroe Township - Carmine Criscuolo, 91, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born and raised in South Plainfield, Carmine was one for seven children born to the late Frank and Mary. At the age of 65, Carmine and his wife moved to Florida for 20 years prior to settling in Monroe.
An Army veteran of WWII he served proudly as a TEC 5 with Troop C 9th calvary Reconnaissance Squadron. Carmine was awarded the American Service Medal, EAME Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal for his actions prior to his honorable discharge.
Carmine had been employed by the Construction Local #221 of Plainfield.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most importantly being with his family.
Predeceased by his daughter, Marie Dempsey and 5 siblings; surviving are his beloved wife, Lucy (Colantoni) of 68 years; daughter, Joan Banos and her husband, Robert VanDurmen of Monroe Township; brother, Albert Criscuolo; a granddaughter, Stephanie Dempsey.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ 07080
Family and friend may join together for visitation on Friday from 3-6 PM.
