Raymond "Beadle" Baxter, 72, died on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.
Born and raised in Lewistown, PA., Ray resided in Dunellen and Plainfield prior to relocating to Piscataway 45 years ago.
Mr. Baxter worked as truck driver for various local trucking companies over the course of his career prior to retiring.
Ray was an avid Mets fan and was a passionate NASCAR fan following both Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. He cherished his 2 granddaughters Ashley and Alexandra and loved spending time with them especially when they would go camping. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is predeceased by parents, Andrew and Rachel (Moore) Baxter, brother Tom and is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Edith; son, Brian of South Plainfield; three sisters, Shirley Silfies, Anna Zimmerman and Peggy Stine all of PA; brother, Harold of CT and two grandchildren, Ashley and Alexandra Baxter.
Cremation Services were held privately and a memorial gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 1-3pm in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Raymond
