Obituary of Lois J. Brown

South Plainfield - Lois J. Brown, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Plainfield, Lois was a life long resident of South Plainfield. A communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in town Lois enjoyed listening to AM talk radio and doing yard work. She will be remembered as a hard working mother, whom raised her four children after losing her husband at a young age. Lois spent many years working for John Howe, CPA in Plainfield as a statistical typist, followed by employment at Tevco Inc. in South Plainfield until her retirement. Predeceased by her husband, James R. and daughter, Patricia Brown Groben, surviving are her three sons, Kevin and his wife, Kathy of Branchburg, Keith and his wife, Dina of New Brunswick and Christopher of West Creek and sister, Marie Murphy - Abati of Piscataway. She will also be missed by her three granddaughters, Jamie, Stephanie and Kaitlyn. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Family and friends may attend visitation on Friday from 7-9PM.
