Obituary of Carmella Eleanor Ventre

Carmella E. Ventre Clark - Carmella E. (Mammano)Ventre, 76, died on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at her home. Born and raised in Irvington, Carmella graduated from West Side High School in Irvington and briefly lived in Newark before settling to Clark in 1959. A Member of St. Agnes Parish in Clark, she was well known having worked for Clark Drugs in Clark for over twenty two years. Mrs. Ventre is predeceased by her husband Joseph who died in 2007 and by her two brothers; Raymond and Joseph Mammano. Surviving are her children; daughter Catherine DeFrancesco and husband Ron and son Joseph Ventre and his wife Jennifer, her sister Maria Petrucci, her brother Ronald Mammano and his wife JoAnn, her granddaughter Melissa Moorehouse and her great granddaughter Amanda. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 beginning at 3:00 PM followed by 7:30 PM funeral service in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Relatives and friends will be gathering in the funeral home for morning prayers on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 9:30 AM with Entombment Services to follow in the chapel of the Crucifix Mausoleum at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
