Robert George Robjohns

Robert Robjohns, 77, went to be with The Lord on Sunday morning September fourteenth two thousand fourteen.
Born and raised in Orange, Robert settled to South Plainfield 48 years ago.
In his youth, Robert served his country with the US Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1956. A former Captain of the South Plainfield Rescue Squad, Robert also volunteered with the United States Junior Chamber for thirteen years.
Predeceased by a son Robert Scott Robjohns, he is survived by his wife and soul mate of 52 years, Roberta F Robjohns; daughter, Dawn Robjohns DeFrance and husband William of Alpha, NJ; son Douglas Robjohns of South Plainfield, brother, Dennis Robjohns and sister, Shirley Bellino.
He will also be missed by five grandchildren he loved very much, twin granddaughters, Ashley and Hayley Robjohns, who lived with him in South Plainfield, Miranda Dawn DeFrance of Alpha, NJ, Kenneth and Thomas Robjohns of Stewartsville, NJ.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080.
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday from 2-6PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the South Plainfield Rescue Squad, 2520 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080, or the American Diabetes Association, 1160 U.S. 22 #103, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
