Obituary of Ida O. Milito

Ida O. Milito Piscataway - Ida O. (DeLorenzo) Milito, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Arista Care at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield, NJ. Born in Dragoni, Italy, near Naples, Ida came to the United States with her family at the age of seven and was raised in the Arbor section of Piscataway. She was married in 1947 to Joseph Milito of Liberty Corner, NJ and resided in Plainfield and then South Plainfield for most of her married life. In 1980, they settled in Piscataway and helped to raise their grandsons David and then Peter. Ida was a devoted mother and housewife for many years. She worked nights during WWII at a defense plant and then for the former Bronson Hat Factory in Plainfield and lastly for AT&T in Piscataway, assisting with stock distribution checks. She was a special lady who had a passion for gardening and enjoyed cooking, but more importantly, adored nieces, nephews, grandsons and beautiful great granddaughter. Ida was a member of the New Durham Chapel in Piscataway. Her husband, Joseph died in 2006. She is also predeceased by her beloved sister, Eleanor Tucceri, a sister, Carmella and two brothers, Louie and Neil. Surviving are her; daughter, Jody Provenzano, son, Neil and his wife Sharon, sister, Eva Santangelo, brother, Alfred DeLorenzo, four adored grandsons, Peter Provenzano, David Milito and his wife Mariel, Matthew Milito and Patrick Milito and a great granddaughter, Emma. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM in New Durham Chapel, 255 New Durham Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Interment will follow in Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway.
