Jennie V. Pollack
Plainfield, NJ - Jennie V. (Garafalo) DeRosa Pollack, 99, died on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Woodlands Care Center in Plainfield.
Born on November 4, 1911 in Bernardsville to Elpido and Anne Garafalo, she grew up in Plainfield. She had lived in Dunellen from 1958 until 1975, then back to Plainfield until moving to Piscataway in 1999. Jennie had worked as an assembler for over twenty-five years for the Burger Tubing Co. of Middlesex before retiring in 1981.
She was a long time parishioner of St. John's RC Church in Dunellen and a member of the Piscataway Senior Citizens.
She was predeceased by her husband's; Pat DeRosa in 1941 and John Pollack in 1990, as well as her two grandchildren Denise LaSasso and Robbie DeRosa and by her siblings; Sue, Louise, Lena, Mary, Martha, Dolores, Sandra, Pete, Martin and James.
Surviving are her daughter and son in law: Patricia and Robert Bender of Piscataway and by her son Julius DeRosa of Jensen Beach, FL and by her grandchildren Jamie, Dean and Sandra LaSasso and Lisa DeRosa and by her great grandchildren, Tricia, Stephanie, James, Brittany and Erin.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 beginning 10:00 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by burial in Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
Visitation will take place in the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Monday from 9:30 AM until the service time.
