James Wong Tai Chin South Plainfield, NJ - James Wong Tai Chin, great-grandfather, restaurant entrepreneur, 91, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Born in Canton China, Mr. Chin lived in Hong Kong, Boston and NY City before spending the last fifty plus years in Plainfield and South Plainfield. He was the owner of Queens Palace Restaurant in Plainfield and How Ming Restaurant in South Plainfield. Mr. Chin was predeceased by his first wife of forty-three years How Ming Wong Chin in 1982. His caring and devoted presence will be missed by his wife Yeong Chow Wong, his four sons; Paul Chin and his wife Barbara of South Plainfield, Samuel Chin and his wife Mary of Chatham, Thomas Chin of South Plainfield and Daniel Chin and his wife Elaine of South Plainfield and by his daughter Lillian Chu and her husband Clemens of NY City. Mr. Chin will be missed by his eight grandchildren; Kenneth, Jonathan and his wife Mary, Michael, James, Joshua, Rose, Bessie Piro and her husband David and Nicole along with his two great-grandchildren Matthew and Justine Piro. Visitation will be at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 5pm - 8pm and Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 9:00 am until 10:00am. Burial Ceremony will take place following visitation on Saturday in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
