Howard O. Holliman
South Plainfield - Howard Oveat Holliman, 91, died on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
Born and raised in Fayette, Alabama, Oveat lived in Elizabeth and Garwood before settling in South Plainfield in 1952.
A Veteran of WWII, Mr. Holliman served with the Army. He enlisted in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1946.
For several years Oveat worked for National Gypsun Company in Garwood and retired in 1981.
Howard loved gardening and he was very well like throughout his neighborhood and always offered a lending hang to his fellow neighbors when needed.
He is pre-deceased by his sister and by 3 brothers.
Mr. Holliman is survived by his wife Adele (Podstawski) and by his son Howard L. both of South Plainfield. Also surviving is his brother Lloyd of Alabama.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007 from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
