Obituary of Elizabeth A. "Betsy" Ramberg

Elizabeth Ramberg Toms River- Elizabeth "Betsy" (nee Bibel) Ramberg, 59, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Van Dyke Hospice in Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Newark, Betsy had resided in South Plainfield for many years. She later resided in Piscataway, Middlesex and Toms River. Betsy had also been a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church of South Plainfield. As an extremely compassionate and giving individual, Betsy always tried to help those in need. One particular instance was recalled by her long time companion, Fred Horne. While vacationing in Maine, Betsy gave a perfect stranger a large sum of money to assist with the purchase of a much needed car. She also had a tremendous love for animals and often donated to the ASPCA in New York. She is pre-deceased by her loving parents, Nicholas and Elizabeth ( Fix ) Bibel. Surviving is her best friend and companion Frederick Horne and her husband, Edward Ramberg. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008 from 7-9 PM in the funeral home and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.
