Obituary of John "Gary" Wanthouse

John " Gary' Wanthouse Long Branch - John Garrett "Gary" Wanthouse, 54, died suddenly on Friday, January 2, 2009 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Born in Newark Gary was raised in South Plainfield and lived in New Hope, PA., and Springfield, NJ, before settling in Long Branch in 1996. For the past 10 years or so, Gary had been performing Data Entry for Lawn Doctor. A loving friend with a gentle soul, Gary will be sadly missed by all who knew, loved and cared for him. Surviving are his parents; Irene (Russell) and Harry Wanthouse of Manchester, his sister Maribeth Schwartz of Annandale, his brother Chris Wanthouse and his wife Judy of South Plainfield, 4 nieces; Laura and Erin Schwartz, Marisa Wanthouse and Stephanie Polinsky and her husband Michael. Also surviving are his grand niece Carly Anne Polinsky, his dear friend Stephen McHugh and many other loving friends. A memorial gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 2-6 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
