Obituary of Leo C. Beenders

Leo C. Beenders Somerset - Leo C. Beenders, 60, died on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Plainfield, Leo was raised in South Plainfield and lived in North Plainfield for several years before moving to Somerset 4 years ago. He graduated from South Plainfield High School in 1966 and worked as a Tax Manager for AT&T working in both the Berkeley Heights and Morristown offices, retiring in 1992. In his youth, Leo enjoyed bowling and later on in life he enjoyed gardening, playing poker and participating football, baseball and NASCAR fantasy leagues. He is pre-deceased by his parents; Leo H. and Doris Beenders. Surviving are his wife of 23 years Rae Jean Beenders, his sons; Christopher and his wife Lisa of Stewartsville and Ryan of Phillipsburg, his 2 grandchildren; Kyle and Brooke Beenders and his step-mother Maureen Beenders of South Plainfield. Funerals Services will be held on Thursday, August 21,2008 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
