Anne Pollak South Plainfield - Anne L. Pollak, " Aunt Kenny" 96, died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 30, 2009. Ms. Pollak was born in Pennsylvania in 1913 and later moved to Bayonne and Port Reading before settling in South Plainfield 40 years. She was employed by Merck & Company for 30 years, retiring in 1978. After retirement Anne volunteered at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. She was also active with the South Plainfield Rescue Squad for many years. Ms. Pollak is pre deceased by her parents; Ignatz and Anna Pollak, her sisters; Mary Dufay, Sophie Pawlakos, Sue Juriga and Agnes Mercadante and by her brothers; Mark, Stephen and Frank. Aunt Kenny will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 4-8 PM in the funeral home.
