Obituary of Susanne C. Affinito

Susanne C. Affinito South Plainfield - Susanne C. (Dobratz) Affinito, 87, died on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Manhattan, Mrs. Affinito resided in Hackensack and Fort Lee before moving to the Bronx where she resided for 40 years before finally settling in South Plainfield in 1986. She was employed as a waitress for Scafferts Restaurant in Manhattan for 10 years and was a communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield. Susanne is pre-deceased by her husband Pascuale "Patsy" Affinito who died in 2001. Surviving are her daughters; Patricia Egan and her husband Frank of South Plainfield and Marie Brown and her husband Joseph of Macungie, PA., her son Joseph Affinito and his wife Shirley of South Plainfield and her sisters; Florence Smith of Mt. Vernon, NY, Matilda Iarpoli and her husband Teddy also of Mt. Vernon, NJ and Rita Stark and her husband Joseph of Cheshire, CT. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Joe and Lisa Affinito, Christopher Egan and Jodie Hart as well as her great granddaughter Alonnah Hart. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals,2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
