Obituary of Edward J. Bagonyi

Edward J. Bagonyi South Plainfield, NJ - Edward J. Bagonyi, 75, died suddenly on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Somerville, he spent most of his life in Basking Ridge until moving to South Plainfield in 1982. Honorably discharged from the United States Air Force, he served as Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. Edward enjoyed fishing, watching stock car races and had a love for sports, especially baseball. Predeceased by his six siblings, Edward is survived by his wife Dolores (Fioravanti) and by his children; Margie Fuhr of Corona, CA, Edward Jr. and his wife Denise of Middlesex and Gregg and Michelle of Levittown, NY. He will be missed by his five grandchildren; Christine, Heather, Michelle, Scott and Colleen; and by his four great-grandchild; Kaitlyn, Addison, Jason and Brooklynn. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 beginning 11:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 12:00 PM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Cremation services will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday, February 22, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
