Piscataway - Stephen W. Boyland, 59, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 8th, 2018.
Born and raised in New York, Steve grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. He moved to Long Valley, NJ in 1991 where he raised his family.
A big sports fan, Steve loved watching football and spending time with his family and pets. Steve was a musician, he played the guitar and baritone horn and played in a band with his friends. Steve was a respected member of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) for over 25 years, and a beloved member of the Blue Angels Drum and Bugle Corps. Steve will be remembered by his friends and family for his amazing sense of humor and his ability to always make people laugh.
Steve was a loving father, son, brother, husband, and uncle. Steve was predeceased by his father, William Boyland. Surviving are Steve's four children, Conor, Caroline, Kyle, and Veronica; mother, Alice Boyland of Piscataway; sister, Geralyn Colvil and her husband Bruce; niece Stephanie Colvil and her fiancé Dan Pieper; nephew Robert Colvil; and former wife of 30 years, Patricia Boyland.
