South Plainfield, NJ - Joseph Samsel, 56, died on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Careone at the Highlands in Edison.
Born in Newark, Joseph grew up in Woodbridge spending most of his adult life in South Plainfield.
He was employed by David Smith Steel Company in South Plainfield where he worked in Steel Fabrication, was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3639 in Iselin and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Helen (Springfield) Samsel, son Robert Springfield and his wife Vivian, granddaughter Mary and by his sister Linda Samsel of Colonia.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 beginning with visitation from 10:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 12:30 PM service in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery located in Colonia.
