Obituary of Patricia J. Pompilio

Patricia J. Pompilio South Plainfield - Patricia J. (Flynn) Pompilio, 71, died suddenly on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Atlantic City Medical Center in Atlantic City. Born and raised in Washington, NJ., she resided in Passaic for a short time before settling to South Plainfield forty-seven years ago. After high school, Pat earned her bachelors degree from the Jersey City State College. She had worked for many years as a Registered Nurse for Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield before her retirement in the 1990's. She was a loving grandmother, who's grandchildren meant the world to her. Predeceased by her husband Anthony who died in 2003, she is also predeceased by her brother, Steve.Surviving are her children, daughter, Elaine Pompilio of Stewartsville, her three sons Anthony and his wife Cathy of South Plainfield, Robert of Tennessee and Richard & his wife Leslie of Virginia, and her brother, James Flynn. Also surviving are her dear eleven grandchildren, Tara, Lindsay, Daniel, Kyle, Connor, Matthew, William, Nicole, Jenna, Brian & Kathryn Rose. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
