Obituary of Diane Conroy

Phillipsburg - Diane (Sperduto) Conroy, 56, of Philipsburg passed away Wednesday March 7, 2018 at home. Born and raised in Elizabeth, Diane resided in South Plainfield for many years before settling to Phillipsburg. Family and friends were very important to Diane, cherishing the time she spent with them. There was never a party that Diane didn't want to go to. Close to her heart were the Special Olympics, where she volunteered for many years. She served as a Girl Scout Leader in South Plainfield and during her tenure, Diane was given the Outstanding Volunteer Award by Girl Scouts USA, a recognition that she was very proud of. She also volunteered with the Children's Christmas Knights of Columbus Post 253, member of Women of the Moose of Ortley Beach Chapter 1248 and a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. Diane was a former employee of Colgate Palmolive and Sealand. Predeceased by her father, Nicholas Sperduto; surviving are her dear husband, Thomas "Bubba" Conroy, loving children, Christina and Kevin; beloved grandson, Adam O'Kane; mother, Joan Sperduto; siblings, Joanne Zeliff and Nicholas Sperduto and wife Kathy; nephew, Harry Sperduto; godson, Dyan Geoghegan along with her uncle Paul Jankowski and aunt Mary Ellen Jankowski. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady Czestochowa at 10AM. Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Monday from 4-8PM.
