Obituary of Gerard D. Penyak

Gerard D. Penyak South Plainfield - Gerard D. Penyak, 52, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Rahway, Jerry was raised in the Scranton area of Pennsylvania and had resided in South Plainfield for the past 25 years. Jerry worked as a roofer in the family business of J.T. Penyak Roofing Co. in South Plainfield and was also a member of the United Union of Roofers Local 4 in Parsippany. He is pre-deceased by his mother Melba and by a brother David. Surviving are his father Joseph Penyak and his wife Vivian of Covington, Pa., two sons; Christian of Allentown and Christopher of Wind Gap, PA, and by two brothers; Joseph T. Penyak and his wife Madeline of South Plainfield and Robert Penyak of Califon, NJ. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home.
